There is a definite difference. Both myself and the farrier that oversees my barefoot trimming are convinced that the Aussie formula has made a huge difference.
Captain is a 3 year old Holstein Sport horse that I bred. Despite his mum being on supplements during pregnancy (we live on mineral deficient sand plain pasture) Captain was born with less than perfect feet. He was put on a well known daily hoof supplement as soon as I realised how bad his feet were but this made minimal difference to the quality of his hooves.
He had ongoing problems with shelly, fragile hoof walls which cracked easily. It was very difficult to grow any length of toe because as soon as the wall reached beyond sole level the hoof would split, crack and then tear away. He was kept barefoot and trimmed every 3 to 4 weeks with lowering of his heels to take pressure off his toes but still his hooves were less than ideal.
The first photograph was taken in October prior to starting The Aussie Farrier Hoof Growth formula. It is an extreme example of how poor his hoof quality was.
The second photo was taken on the 2nd of April (so roughly 6 months of treatment). There is a definite difference.
Both myself and the farrier that oversees my barefoot trimming are convinced that The Aussie Farrier Hoof Growth formula has made a huge difference.
This is the best Captain's hooves have ever looked and the first time that he has had hooves with out any major splits or cracks.
There is a small area of hoof missing on the inside of the off side front hoof due to a small chip which is why the hoof looks less balanced on that side but even considering this the results are impressive.
His coat is also looking good and his mane is growing at a surprising rate.
Captain will now eat the pellets straight out of your hand!
